ICT Effects on Life Styles; A Case Study of Native and Migrated

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine how the modernization process, especially through introduction of ICTs into the Dehdar's clan, affected Dehdar clan in the Province of Fars. Also, it will examine the question to what the new ICTs affected the clan’s life style, with a special focus on the lifestyle of Dehdar's clan. The paper will also indicate how these changes led to the changes in their lifestyle from traditional lifestyle to modern one. The process of changes are more triggered by diffusion of modern technology since implementation of land reform in Iran in 1962. The target sample population for this study included 404 individuals that involved both native and migrated individuals to the city of Shiraz who continue to live in this city.
