Abstract

The present study has tried to examine how to read Iran in cyberspace among young people. Based on qualitative approach and grounded theory, micro influencers were selected and studied using theoretical and objective sampling. Sampling continued until the researchers concluded that new information would be the repetition of the former information. Data were collected through the study of sources and interviews with experts and technical notes. After refining the initial code and combining overlap and exemplifier codes, the findings were presented in the form of a story line including 18 main categories and one core category and a paradigmatic model. The research paradigm model represents the flow of processes and activities that have occurred in the context of the study. In general, the narratives of young people from Iran reflect the fact that they are accompanied by different dynamics due to historical-local knowledge and media planting as well as a fluid media environment. There is a situation in which shame and hopelessness are combined with hope and honor. In such a situation, the subjective and objective world of the participants continuously involve universal reflections on national and indigenous values which brings them different strategies and outcomes.
